Our founder’s journey

Born into Northern Europe’s rich “tubbing culture,” our founder, Andrew, grew up surrounded by the soothing warmth of wood smoke and water. When he moved to the UK, he was eager to bring that same sense of luxury and home to his own garden with a traditional wood-fired hot tub.

Andrew’s personal quest for a hot tub, however, was fraught with issues. From broken promises and months of delays to hidden costs and a defective product that only lasted 18 months, his experience was incredibly frustrating.

This profound disappointment ignited a clear mission: to provide wood-fired tubs the right way, ensuring no one else would suffer through what he did. Thus, Royal Tubs was born.
